So, who are the goombas on this website anyway? Well, I'm Sasha and I'll let Brian tell you about Brian. A short history of our time together and what I'm doing these days for those of you who have "been away".
Brian and I met about 4 1/2 years ago and got married 2 years ago. I worked at Gene Juarez for the last 11 years until about a month ago when I quit and went to work for Friday Harbor Yachts. Brian is part owner in the company and his partners want to retire at the end of this year, so I'm learning how to manage the office.
We split our time between our condo in Everett and living on the boat in Friday Harbor. Our schedule can be a bit hectic at times trying to figure out where we are and where we're going, but it's a great way to be able to enjoy city life and when that gets to be too much, off to the island life.
We plan on retiring in a few years, and then we'll take off cruising on the boat for maybe a year, then settle down to cruising in the summer, and we bought a place in New Mexico last November. We'll spend the winters riding the motorcycles and for me snowboarding, for Brian, skiing. I'm sure that our ski/boarder buddies will be happy to have a place to stay and sample the ski areas with us!!!!

Hi all. Yes we live a wonderful life. I have lived on San Juan Island for 20 years, always aboard one boat or another. I have been in the boat business for 19 years also. Up until this year I served as Port Commissioner for the Port of Friday Harbor. Other political interests included founding member of the Marine Resources Committee and Northwest Straights Commission. Helping to start this "bottoms up" local control solution to protecting our sacred waters was a huge joy. With some rewarding accomplishments behind me I let politics take a back seat to our business and our wonderful marriage, yes money and love!!!
